The self-discovery journey takes you to the depths of your soul to rediscover the undiscovered. It could be a part of your personality, trait, nature, behaviour, mindset, skill, and strength. What if I told you that this journey will be at ease with a few powerful questions to ask yourself? I always believed in "ordinary things can give you extraordinary results" and "simple things are often profound". At first, you will deny believing what I just wrote by thinking what I shared is just an outdated self-help gimmick. But once you are through the questionnaire that I am about to give here, you will start believing these "two quoted gems" wholeheartedly. That's my promise! Â
This is an exercise or a self-assessment session or a self-evaluation time. Whatever you name it. You just need a pen, paper (Great if you can grab a journal or diary to pen down), mindful quiet time, the eagerness of making a change within, warm-up stimulation to your brainy brain to ponder over, and a cup of hot chocolate or a glass of chilled pina colada as per the season or your mood. The choice is all yours!Â

Write your answers as detailed as possible. Most importantly, be honest while introspecting and contemplating. Not to forget, honesty is the best policy! You pat your back to appreciate yourself (I hope you do this as and when required.) but you shall also pinpoint the areas where there is room for self-improvement. Do not try to sweep your flaws under the carpet. Instead, have a nice talk with them face to face.Â
You can meditate for a while before doing the above-mentioned exercise to calm your brain to get clarity over the questions. If you feel stuck on a particular question, no worries, head to the next one. Maybe that question needs some time and space so keep aside that question for the time being. Revisit the questions that are not attempted when your reluctant brain seems ready to accompany you in giving the answers with utmost clarity.Â
Check in with yourself from time to time. Our perspectives, thinking, perceptions, beliefs, and personality change drastically as we grow and evolve as a person. This ever-changing process demands constant check ins to be in tandem with life's transformations. This helps to mellow out the intensity of transformations by making us adaptable to the given situation or circumstances. It helps to deal with the sudden curveball that is thrown our way out of nowhere when we are unaware and clueless. Check ins throw the light on helplessness to search for the light and the silver lining.Â
Trust the process and embrace the whimsical journey of diving deep into the ocean of self-discovery!Â
