Diwali & Christmas is round the corner folks.

All homemakers are geared up for the festivities, celebrations, shopping, sweets, gifts, occasions & what not. The list is just endless!

So I thought of giving 10 do's to make your journey easy so you can cherish the vibe of the festivities with loved ones.

Let's sort the mess guys!!!

Point 1 - Tick-off Checklist

Make a checklist of do's & don'ts wherein you can mention things that you wish to do & things that are to be avoided at any cost. This helps to be clear about the tasks that have to be planned & managed. Once you complete the task just tick off that task to feel a sense of little achievement. By doing so you will feel motivated to complete tasks on time without any hassle.

Point 2 - Shopping in Advance

Every brand usually starts the festival sale one month before the festive season. As soon as the sale is announced people rush to the the nearest malls and brand outlets to shop & save more with attractive offers during festivities. Then why to wait till the last day of the sale? Complete your shopping with a margin of couple of weeks so that in that margin weeks you can plan some other activities. Time management plays a crucial role here.

Point 3 - Delegate tasks

No micromanagement please! Ladies this is for you! So we have this habit of making everything right by overcontrolling the tasks. The only thing that we get to see here is agitation, irritation and frustration. Hence, delegate the tasks to the people involved in the celebration. Small & simple tasks could be given to little folks in the family like distributing chocolates or sweets to guests.

Point 4 - Prioritize Tasks

So you have a cloths to alter? You also have to freshen up with a salon treats? Not to forget, you wish to have a new hair cut this festive season? Then prioritize this tasks so that you can enjoy manicure & pedicure self-love time before you gear up for the grand celebration. Not to miss, the vouchers that the salons give to treat your besties along with you.

Point 5 - Menu of the Day

So I came across a trick named cookbook binder. So the basic concept behind cookbook binder is to deciding menu of the day well in advance to avoid last minute fog in the mind. You are supposed to decide breakfast, lunch & dinner menus beforehand for all 7 days of the busy weeks. Once the each day menus is finalized then make a word file & get the physical copy prints. Get a binder and arrange the punched copies in the binder for the reference. Isn't this easy to manage?

Point 6 - Budgeting

Budgeting helps to keep a check on how much expenses we have incurred to figure out the areas where we can limit it without compromising on the quality & shopping experience. Splurging is okay only when your pocket affords it & you don't regret later over your mindless shopping sprees.

Point 7 - Hospitality Management

Make list of guests & sent them invitations at least a week before the celebration. You can also hire a buffet service for a day to reduce your work of serving. Make sure that every guest is acknowledged personally. If you wish to opt for home decor services then try to complete this work at least a couple of days in advance to avoid last minute fuss.

Point 8 - Different Take

There are many NGOs who look forward to spend quality time with us.

Why not give it a try this festive season?

Point 9 - Small Breaks

Take small breaks in between or power naps in between in a day to recharge your battery before it gets exhausted. Maintaining mental & physical energy can be challenging while you are over occupied by the extra work in hand. Hence, small breaks may help to rejuvenate the vibe.

Point 10 - Strive for Perfection

I am just kidding! There is no such a thing as perfection. Any thing that you do can be either good, better or excellent but not perfect. So my advise to you would be, never ever strive for perfection otherwise you will miss the essence of joy & enjoyment. Pin this now!!!

Bonus Tip

Festivities may seem a little overwhelming due to overwork. Less is more! We often caught up in the arranging many activities back to back & here we exhaust our mental & physical energy. It also happens that at the end of the celebration mood we realize that we arranged so much for the gusts but we couldn't cherish a single activity to the fullest for ourself. You health shall not take a back seat while planning a beautiful moments for others. Thus, less is more formula may help to plan a couple of activities for dear ones & cherry on the top; you will get to enjoy each & every moment of it.

Happy Festivities!!!
